Year 10 Digital and Darkroom Photography

In this course students will study a range of photographic and art technical skills in camera use, understanding of light applications and manipulation and an understanding of studio portraiture. The students apply their knowledge and understanding to research portrait photographers from different times in history exploring their ideas, use of materials, process and techniques. Students get to choose and explore their personal interests and theme from a "choice board" exploring photographers and the art-making process to produce both digital and darkroom folios. They will maintain a record of how ideas develop in the creating and making of their artwork.

Again, a very challenging year for photography students having no access to SLR digital cameras or darkroom and having to use mobile phones.
